Having completed a lengthy checklist of things to be done before leaving the house before being gone for a month, we headed to the airport. For about the first 10 miles, I pondered what we forgot to put on that list. Acknowledging that after all the trips we have done, the list was tight, plus we had a contingency plan in place, I concluded that routine exercise and turned my mind to forward-thinking about our vacation.
Everything on the trip down went as smoothly as travel brochures would make you believe was guaranteed.
A nice dinner with my sister Connie and her husband Paul, then off to our hotel for good night sleep after an uneventful but long-ish day of travel.
Boats and palm trees are a winning combination when one wants a break from a New England winter.

If you want to receive a notification about posts to this blog, rather than trying to set up an e-mail feed, please set up FOLLOW (in the lower left-hand corner of the page) instead. I have not been impressed with the e-mail option for the past couple of years, and a recent test confirmed it is still wonky. Unfortunately, it is hardwired into the blogger page layout, so I can't zap it off the page.
Fair warning: The nature of this trip will limit the quantity and quality of what I post. In particular, we are not doing much island touring this year. I also expect to lean even more towards pictures than text.
