After saying goodbye to Snaggletooth and Big Moma, my sister Connie, and brother-in-law Paul, we continued east to Miami, where we dropped off the rental car and took a taxi to the hotel.
We settled into a nice room looking out over Biscayne Bay.
This evening, we were hosted for dinner by my cousin Joan and her husband Jose at their club in Coral Gables. Joan and I barely scratched the surface of catching up, our spouses being highly tolerant of a torrent of names they knew between hardly and not at all.
On our way to the club, Jose drove us through Coconut Grove and along secondary roads to show us some of the Miami we had missed on previous visits.
Overall, it was an excellent evening.

You may have noticed that the FEB 26 post is missing. It is a long one that will take some time to compose. During our cruise, I will finish and post it on an upcoming 'sea day'.

If you want to receive a notification about posts to this blog, rather than trying to set up an e-mail feed, please set up FOLLOW (in the lower left-hand corner of the page) instead. I have not been impressed with the e-mail option for the past couple of years, and a recent test confirmed it is still wonky. Unfortunately, it is hardwired into the blogger page layout, so I can't zap it off the page.
Fair warning: The nature of this trip will limit the quantity and quality of what I post. In particular, we are not doing much island touring this year. I also expect to lean even more towards pictures than text.
